A story worth telling; your breastfeeding journey

Breastfeeding is one of the most beautiful and intimate connections between a mother and her baby. It’s a dance of nourishment and love, of quiet moments that are as fleeting as they are precious. As a storyteller and in-home newborn photographer, I want to honor and celebrate this incredible bond by documenting it during your in-home newborn session.

Every breastfeeding journey is unique—from the first latch to the cozy middle-of-the-night feeds, to the sleepy smiles exchanged in the soft glow of morning light. These moments, though often challenging and deeply personal, are filled with a quiet magic. They tell a story of love, resilience, and the unbreakable bond between you and your baby.

When I document these moments, it’s not just about taking pictures; it’s about preserving a chapter of your motherhood journey. It’s about capturing the way you cradle your baby, the gentle touch of their tiny hand on your skin, the serenity in your gaze as you provide them with comfort and sustenance. These are the moments that deserve to be cherished, and I’m here to help you hold onto them forever.

Your Home is the perfect backdrop. There’s something profoundly special about documenting this part of your motherhood journey within the comfort of your own home. It’s your safe space, where you and your baby have already shared so many firsts. Your favorite nursing spot—whether it’s the rocking chair in the nursery, the corner of your couch, or even your bed—holds a unique significance. It’s a part of your story, and it deserves to be remembered.

When I photograph you in your home, I focus on the details that make your story yours. The softness of the blanket draped over your lap, the way your baby’s eyes close in contentment, the quiet strength and tenderness that radiates from you. Together, we’ll create images that feel authentic, intimate, and deeply meaningful.

This is a judgment-free zone. I know that breastfeeding can be a deeply emotional journey. I have breastfed my three children over the course of nearly 10 years. And while that chapter of my life is now closed, I still remember the heavy emotions surrounding the beginning of that part of my motherhood story. For some, it comes easily; for others, it’s filled with hurdles. No matter where you are on this path, know that I approach every session with compassion and understanding. Whether you’re exclusively breastfeeding, pumping, supplementing, or doing a combination of all three, your story is valid and worthy of being documented.

During your session, we’ll move at your pace. If your baby needs to nurse, we’ll pause and embrace the moment. There’s no rush, no pressure—just an opportunity to capture the beauty of this time in a way that feels natural and comfortable for you.

These images are more than just photographs; they’re a celebration of the bond you share with your baby. They’re a reminder of your strength, your love, and the incredible work you’re doing as a mother. One day, your baby will look back on these pictures and see not just how you nurtured them, but how deeply you loved them. To give so much of yourself so that they could thrive.

As a storyteller, it’s an honor to document these moments for you. My goal is to create a gallery that moves you to tears, that makes you feel seen, and that reminds you of the beauty in your everyday life. These moments may feel fleeting now, but through photography, we can make them timeless.

If you’ve been considering an in-home newborn session, I encourage you to include breastfeeding as part of your story. It’s a testament to your journey, a symbol of the bond you share, and a chapter worth preserving. Together, we’ll create images that reflect your love, your strength, and your story—exactly as it is.

I would be honored to help you document this beautiful chapter of your motherhood journey.
