I have been so inspired by some fellow photographers in regards to keepsake videos. I decided that I should just try it, and try out the editing software, and see what happened. I am so glad I did! Now, in hindsight I would do a few things different, but that’s just part of the learning process.

I decided I wanted to try and offer these keepsake videos to my newborn clients, because it’s something I wished I could have had along with my own newborns when I had them. It’s so hard to believe that my oldest is turning 7 in a few short weeks! I look back on the home videos I took of him and while I love & treasure them, I’m not in them. I took them. So I’m behind the camera (rather, iPhone). I’m not actually sure that any videos exist that I am actually in of my children as newborns. That breaks my heart just a bit. So, I’m very motivated to provide these keepsake videos to my families who book with me. Any moms and moms-to-be reading this – you deserve to be remembered during this newborn phase too. Even if you’re exhausted with dark circles and you’re wearing the same comfy pants for the 4th day in a row – you DESERVE to be remembered. Your daily sacrifice and constant giving to your babies and families is something to be revered. You are amazing, even if you don’t feel amazing, and you deserve to be *in* the photos and videos.
